Groupon For Plastic Surgery And Why It’s A Great Thing

Creating a big stir in the cosmetic surgery field is the Groupon online deals. Surgeons are experimenting with Groupon and offering patients a percentage discount on work being completed. Most are finding that the Groupon deals targeted to an audience entice customers to come in for their first visit. These offers work for bringing new customers through the door but measures have to be taken to create some life-long customers to reap the true rewards.

The Groupons have been used for such things as laser hair removal, Botox injections and cellulite treatments. Customers later returned to try other services, too. It gives them a great reason to come back again.

Two Sides To It – The Positives For Groupon

Doctors find that they receive a lot more business. Groupons make it possible to reach a lot more people than many advertising measures. For instance, the Groupons can reach a targeted audience via Groupons list of subscribers. Groupons list grows daily as word of the service and deals spread.

Customers receive an email with a Groupon that will save them money on certain services. The Groupon is sent out only once per day. They have a time limit for when it can be used, but the discounts are good and many people take advantage of the savings that they can receive. The savings that the customer will receive makes them want to use the services that the Groupon is for. Everyone loves to get a great deal and Groupons offer them to the customer and in return the business receives a greater flow of traffic, which transpires into a lot more regular customers.

The Negatives For Groupon

Some doctors find that the negatives of using Groupons are that there is a percentage fee that Groupons takes from their proceeds. This amount varies.

Another negative is that some of the physicians feel that it only creates a pool of customers that are after a deal for one time only. They also don’t feel that it is not good for the doctor and only good for the customer that uses it.

Many surgeons and physicians claim that it did indeed improve their business. There was a good response to using their services when the patients used the Groupons. It made the customers want to come in for more work in the future and therefore created more business for the surgeons and physicians. It was a great way for the surgeons and physicians to introduce themselves and their business to a targeted audience. Using Groupons created a lot of interest for them, much more than some ever expected it to. It is a great way to market a service to the public.

Groupon always recommends that the surgeons and physicians read the packet of materials that they provide for them so that they understand how much traffic this program will create for them. They also recommend to be well prepared for the specials so that all patients can be dealt with in a timely manner.
