Tips for Your Medical Websites Landing Page

So you’ve decided to create a landing page for your medical website.  This is a wonderful first step, but how do you do it?  What are some steadfast ways to make your healthcare landing page standout and still be simple enough for the novice user?  Well here are five tips for creating a successfully splendid landing page for your medical website.

  • You want the users that are landing on your landing page to see and make use of your call-to-action (CTA).   Getting them to do this doesn’t need to be a chore.  Make you CTA simple and tell your users what you want them to do.  You’d be surprised how many landing pages don’t tell the user what they’re there for.  Be concise and to the point with your CTA.  If it’s hard to find or difficult to use, your users are going to get fed up and leave.
  • Highlight why someone should sign up for what you are offering.   You’ve got them to the landing page, but why should your visitor sign up for that new medical eBook?  Let the user know what your strong suits are, and sell them on it.  Is your landing page offering something unique?  Put it in bold!  Is it hard for a user to wrap their head around the idea?  Show a picture of it.  It’s your job to pull the user in by giving them great content.
  • If you have time before launching your landing page, make sure to do an A/B test of it.  Think about two different approaches to conveying your message.  Examples of A/B testing could be using a text link or graphic link for submitting information, changing images for different landing page scenarios, highlighting different key phrases in your CTA.  These examples can all have different effects on how users interact with your landing page.
  • Think about what information you want the user to enter on your landing page, and then think about it some more.  Asking the user to input too much personal data may send them running for the hills.  Think about what you will need to nurture a good lead, or finalize the operation.  Usually name, email, phone number, and company name will do the trick.
  • Talk with your web designer about how to cut down on site load time.  If a user needs to wait a long time for your landing page to load, they’re going to leave you high and dry.  Keeping images and forms to the smallest digital size possible will help with site load time.
  • Lastly, if you have testimonials of your work add it to your landing page.  If you are able to establish your practice as a trustworthy organization, your users will feel more comfortable giving over their information.

Your landing page may be the first step in creating a strong relationship with a potential patient or client.  Creating a healthy first impression that allows the user to feel comfortable and trust you is extremely important.  Creating a landing page for your medical website using the tips above will get you going in the right direction.
