Building out your email list

We all know it is important to stay in front of your customers over time. With the high cost of customer acquisition in a competitive market, most spas and surgeons want to create lifelong customers. One common way to stay in front of your customers over time is with an email list. Not just any list were you bought names and are spamming people but a quality list of current or prospective patients that want to receive your messages on a regular basis.

The task of building a list can seem overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be. Often clients worry about investing resources in a campaign when the list has little to no addresses in it. To avoid this chicken and egg syndrome of which comes first the list or the campaign, it is important to start building your list as soon as possible. Now that the campaign has a rough outline we need to get a form on the website and start feeding the form data to a customer relationship management system and email marketing system so we take good care of the users who do register.

Two months ago we went through this exact process with a customer.  After two months they have already had 74 subscribers.  These are people who have said, “Yes, please market your services to me!”
